A 24-inch Parshall flume factory mounted in a fiberglass Packaged Metering Manhole.  This is a perfect example one of the advantages of the Packaged Metering Manhole - integration of devices larger than what are easily integrated into concrete structures.  In this case the ability to have the flume extend out of the manhole an additional 10-feet while still remaning strong and structurally sound is a tremendous advantage.

Recessed open cell fiberglass grating is installed over the inlet end adapter and the converging section of the Parshall flume so that the operator has a clean, safe platform from which to work from.  Recessing the grating means that it can't slip out of position.
