48-Inch Parshall Flume Installed in a Concrete Channel at a WWTP

48-Inch Parshall Flume in Concrete WWTP Channel

Description

A 48-inch fiberglass Parshall flume installed at the Horse Creek WWTP in Aiken, SC.  The flume has been grouted into a concrete channel and has been provided with a staff gauge and a contractor provided ultrasonic mounting bracket.

Water can be see standing in the throat of the flume.  This is because the floor of a Parshall flume sloped down in the throat (narrowest section) and then partially rises back up in the diverging discharge section.
