Edge-of-Field Flow Measurement Installation
- University of Kentucky: Glynn Beck
Description
A typical Edge-of-Field installation with a fiberglass H Flume and sampling equipment.
Pavers have been laid at the inlet and outlet of the flume to minimize the effects of scour and the potential for flow bypass.
Wing walls have been installed at the entrace to the H Flume's approach section. Here pressure treated lumber has been used - although wing walls can be made out of a range of different materials.
The flow meter and sampler are housed in a fiberglass enclosure mounted on an elevated stand.
