Garner Run Stream USGS Parshall Flume Installation

Description

An aluminum USGS portable Parshall flume with field made inlet wing walls.

The USGS portable Parshall flume differs from the standard Parshall flume in that the discharge portion of the flume is removed.  The removal shortens the lenght and decreases the weight of the flume.  Removing the discharge does require that the flow out of the flume be free-spilling.

For this installation, inlet wing walls have been constructed from black poly sheeting.
