An edge-of-field (EOF) installation in Winsonsin prior to the growing season.  With little ground cover, runoff and nutrient loss can be high during fallow periods.  

With a lack of vegitation in the downstream channel, scour and errosion can be of concern in areas that receive large amounts of runoff.
