Inlet End Adapter with Stub on a Fiberglass Cuttthroat Flume

Inlet End Adapter with Stub on a Fiberglass Cuttthroat Flume

Description

A fiberglass Cutthroat flume with an inlet end adapter, probe well, and staff gauge.

End adapters provide a way of controlling the transition of flow from a pipe stub into the flume. Properly formed, end adapters minimize turbulence and develop a well distributed velocity profile.

The probe well on the right of the flume provides a convenient location at the point of measurement for the customer to install a submerged pressure transducer.  Opposite the probe well is a staff (head) gauge - used to provide a visual indication of the water level.
