Description

Contractor installing a grade ring on a H-20 traffic style Flume Metering Manhole.  Grade rings help to transfer loads from the cover / frame to the manhole shoulder.  They also raise the frame / cover to street level.

The manhole has a Palmer-Bowlus Flume factory installed - around which a bench (or shoulder) has been poured.
