Measuring Cold Weather Edge-of-Field Runoff with a H Flume
Description
A typical H flume installation measuring cold weather runoff from an edge-of-field site.
Edge-of-field (EOF) monitoring seeks to identify, quantify, and reduce the sources of excess nutrients from agricultural sources. Excess nutrients can threaten the health of suface waters, including streams, rivers, and lakes.
Edge-of-field monitoring helps to establish a baseline of flows / nutrients and helps in evaluating the effectiveness of conservation practices that seek to reduce nutrient loss.
