Metal H Flume with Stilling Well Measuring Lake Herrick Watershed

Description

A metal H flume with attached stilling well used to measure flows at Birdsong Creek in the Lake Herrick watershed.  

Note the free-spilling discharge out of the flume.  

Flumes measuring natural surface water flows can be prone to upstream sedimentation.  Inspection for and removal of this sediment is necessary to ensure flow accuracy.
