Palmer-Bowlus Flume Staff Gauge Offset

Description

A close-up view of the off-set of a staff gauge in a Palmer-Bowlus Flume. The top of the ramp of the flume is the zero reference elevation and the staff gauge in a the flume must be set at this level. Also, as the sidewalls of the flume curve in the lower portion, the increments of the gauge must account for this curvature.
