A fiberglass Extra Large 60 Degree V Trapezoidal Flume measuring industrial effluent at a cheese plant. The flume is provided with end adapters / pipe stubs and is installed below grade in a concrete vault.  To the right of the flume, the engineer has specified a detached stilling well.  

Currently the contractor has the ultrasonic transducer mounted over the flume itself.  This should instead be relocated over the detached stilling well and the horizontal and vertical arms of the sensor mounting bracket swapped so tha the transducer is raised higher over the stilling well. The modular construction of the ultrasonic mounting bracket can result in these sorts of issues, but generally it provides much greater flexibility than other bracket styles.
