The domed fiberglass top is designed for areas where the manhole won't see foot or vehicle traffic.  The top fully opens, allowing the operator the greatest possible access.  The top is held in place by a rugged industrial gas strut. This strut system means that the top won't accidentally close, trapping the operator.
