Parshall Flume Measuring Treated Effluent from a VA Hospital

Parshall Flume Measuring Treated Effluent from a VA Hospital

Description

A small 3-inch Parshall Flume measuring treated effluent from the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System located in Montrose, NY.  Flow through the flume is measuring with a Pular Ultra Twin ultrasonic flow meter.

On the top flanges of the flume (at the throat), the contractor has drilled two holes and poured grout into them secure the flume in the channel.  This needed to be done as the flow channel had already been poured with no rough-in space on either side of the flume, this approach was the only practical way to secure the flume.
