Cutthroat Flumes differ from other types of flumes are they are sized both by length and throat width.  

There are four standard lengths:  

• 18-inches [45.72 cm]
• 36-inches 91.44 cm]
• 54-inches 137.16 cm]
• 108-inches 274.32 cm]  

Within each length there are four standard throat widths.  

One advantage that the Cutthroat Flume has over most other flume types is that intermediate sizes can be developed within a given Cutthroat length.
