Typical problems with Bubbler Flow Meters can include:
- Clogging due to oil / grease / heavy solids / biological growth
- Flow stream chemical compatibility with bubbler tube (landfill leachate on stainless steel)
- Bubble line leakage
- Bubble line not firmly connected to flowmeter or bubbler tube
- Failing air compressor
- Failing air reservoir tank
Keep in mind, though, that bubbler flow meters offer tremendous advantages over other meter types, so while there may be some drawbacks, the meters are accurate and dependable in the right applications.
