As we’ve seen before in our comparison of H-flume and Parshall flume manufacturers, not all “equal” products are just that…equal.

Here we compare the construction details of Packaged Metering Manholes.  Packaged Metering Manholes take proven open channel flumes (Parshall, Palmer-Bowlus, Cutthroat, etc.) and factory integrates them in to fiberglass manhole structures.  The result is a single-piece, watertight, and corrosion resistant.  Factory integration means that the unit is ready for immediate installation once it arrives at the job site.

Packaged Metering Manholes are commonly used to monitor pre-treatment discharges and municipal sanitary sewer flows.  They can be used on line size from 4 to 60-inches and can be configured for traffic or non-traffic areas, as the application requries.

As before, both manholes are constructed for shipment to the end-users.  Neither unit is a “show” model prettied up for the occasion.
